Romans 10:15 is very clear: “How can they believe in Him of whom they have never heard?” Jesus Christ has commanded Christians to preach the gospel to every creature because all mankind is guilty and stands condemned in His sight. The brutal death and triumphant resurrection of Jesus Christ has made it possible for man to be justified through faith in Christ. Jesus is the One who sets a man free from the ultimate penalty of sin: eternal damnation. But we must come to Him believing that He was crucified and is Risen, that He is Lord, that He is our Lord. How can I as a Christian, having Jesus Christ within me, not preach the gospel? Never hold out the Word of Life! Woe is me if I do not preach the gospel for I know my Savior and why He came: to seek and save the lost; to bleed; to give His life as a ransom. So, I am obligated to preach the gospel to everyone, for if I don’t, who will? This is not to say that I’m the only one for the call to share the gospel is to each and every born-again believer. I desire for each and every person to come to know the greatest being in all of the universe: Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. He has changed my life and eternal destiny. My purpose for existing is Him, and my desire is to be used by Him in the proclamation of the Gospel. If the world only knew how amazing He is, what He has done, and the gift He offers! This is my reason for street evangelism: to tell the world of Jesus.
